Instagram recently went through a number of changes that caused some users to encounter an error message when they tried logging in. The good news is the bugs are all fixed, and you can now log into your account again!
“Instagram something went wrong, please try again later when posting 2021” is a fix that will allow you to get around the Instagram error.
When you start the Instagram app on your phone, you see an error message that reads “We’re sorry, but something went wrong.” Please come back later.” While the source of the Instagram “something went wrong” problem may be wide-ranging and sometimes unknown, here’s a checklist of things you can do to find out what went wrong and solve it.
Check to see if you’ve accidently activated airplane mode on your smartphone. Airplane mode blocks wireless signals from entering and leaving the device, limiting the internet connection needed for applications like Instagram.
Instagram cache must be cleared.
The next step is to erase the cache and data on your Instagram app. Cache is where apps save data like your login cookie and other personal information. When anything goes wrong with an app, wiping its cache and data restores it to its original state, as if you had just installed it. This often resolves difficulties with the app, particularly login issues. Once you’ve deleted the cache on your Instagram app, you’ll have to sign in again.
As the Settings interface varies from device to device, the steps to clear an app’s cache may differ. For most Android devices, the place to clear an app’s cache can usually be found at Settings > Apps > Manage apps. From the list of apps, look for and select Instagram.
Tap “Clear data” or “Clear cache” at the bottom of the Instagram App details settings page. After clearing the cache, try running the Instagram app again.
The Instagram app should be uninstalled and reinstalled.
If you are unable to clear the cache or if clearing the cache fails to address the Instagram “something went wrong” problem, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the app. When you uninstall an app, it deletes all of its data and settings, however when you reinstall it, it’s as if you’re installing it for the first time. This often helps in the resolution of a variety of app-related difficulties.
Check to see whether your phone is linked to a virtual private network (VPN).
Many connection and login errors, such as Instagram’s “Something went wrong, please try again later” problem, are caused by VPNs. Check to determine whether your phone is presently connected to a VPN (or running any VPN app in the background).
Whether you’ve already installed and connected to a VPN, try disconnecting or uninstalling the VPN app, then relaunching the Instagram app to see if the issue remains.
Check to check whether your security app is blocking Instagram.
Make sure Instagram is not barred or limited in any way if your phone has a security software that may prevent applications from utilizing your phone’s resources, such as data or WiFi (internet connection). If Instagram is blocked by a security app, you may see an error message that says “something went wrong, please try again later.”
Check the security app, or check via the Settings > Apps > Instagram on your Android device, to make sure there is no data usage restriction for Instagram app.
Check the status of the Instagram server.
Check with any of your pals to see whether they have an Instagram account. If they can’t log on, it’s probable that Instagram is down for the time being. Return in a few hours to see what’s new.
Use a different device or computer to log in.
Try logging into your Instagram account on a separate phone, tablet, or computer to make sure the “something went wrong” problem isn’t caused by your Instagram account. Simply try logging into your Instagram account on a computer using a web browser.
If you can’t log in to your Instagram account on any device or computer, it’s possible that there’s a problem with your account. Here are some options.
