Racoon City Builds is a repository that brings you tons of great add-ons for Kodi, the best TV and movie player for Linux. It is one of the most popular repositories for Kodi users.
If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to install a build, then this is for you!
This tutorial demonstrates how to install Racoon City Builds on Kodi 18.1 – 18.6 Leia. These builds are supported on FireStick, Android TV, Android TV Boxes and all other Kodi platforms.Racoon City is a collection of multiple Kodi builds for both Kodi 18 Leia. These builds were earlier available through separate third-party wizards. However, the developers decided to put them all together in the in-house Racoon City Wizard. If you have installed Racoon City Kodi builds before, please note that they are now available through a different link, provided in this installation guide.
Update: This build is no longer working. Try other builds from our list of Best Builds for Kodi
These builds come with customized skins and various popular addons to take care of all your streaming needs. The builds are moderately sized and hence work fine on even low-RAM devices. This guide covers the installation process for Kodi 18.
Attention: Kodi Builds bring unlimited streaming content, but could also get you in a legal trouble. Kodi users must use a VPN to hide their identity while streaming movies / TV Shows / Sports. Moreover, many popular Addons are geo-blocked and will require a VPN to work.
I personally use and recommend ExpressVPN which is the best VPN for Kodi. You can get 3-months free and save 49% on its annual plans.
How to Install the Racoon City Kodi Builds
Before starting with the installation steps, let us first set up Kodi for the process.
Set up Kodi to install the build
Setting up doesn’t take long. All you need to do is tweak a security setting that enables you to install the third-party Kodi builds like Racoon City. And, even though you are changing a security setting, it will cause no harm to Kodi or your device as the builds we are about to install are safe. Here is what we will do:
#1- After launching the Kodi app, open the Settings. You can do that from the home screen. Click the gear icon
#2- Following are the options within the Settings menu. Click System
#3- On the left sidebar, select Add-ons
#4- On the right, a new set of options are displayed. You need to check whether Unknown Sources is enabled or disabled. If disabled, switch it ON
#5- Click Yes
Install the Racoon Kodi build

Let me now help you with the installation process. Here are the steps:
#1- Again open the Settings option from the home screen of your Kodi app
#2- This time we will click File manager
#3- Next, we click Add source
#4- This window pops up. Click <None>
#5- We will now enter the source link in the space provided. Here is the link: http://racooncity.gq/repo
Update: This build is no longer working. Try other builds from our list of Best Builds for Kodi
#6- We are back on this window. Highlight the section Enter a name for this media source and write the source name of your liking. Let’s say we name it racoon
Click OK
#7- We now go back to the Settings again either from the home screen or by clicking the back button.
Click Add-ons
#8- Now click Install from zip file
#9- You should see the name you added earlier. Click it (racoon in this case)
#10- Click the zip file that is displayed on the following screen (repository.umbrellacorp-1.3.zip)
Note: If this zip file has been updated by the developers, the version number on your screen will be different than mine
#11- This installs the Umbrella Corporation Repository. The Add-on installed notification is displayed on the screen
#12- Now we click Install from repository (on the same window)
#13- Click Umbrella Corporation Repository
#14- Open Program add-ons
#15- Click Racoon City Wizard
#16- Go ahead and click the Install button
#17- Allow the Wizard to install. Wait for the Add-on installed notification
#18- Click Continue when prompted
#19- Up until this part we installed the Wizard. Now we install one of the Racoon City Wizard Builds.
– If you choose Click Here you may skip to step number 21, you will be directly taken to the build menu of the Wizard.
– If you decided to install the build later and clicked Ignore, you will want to access the Wizard from the home screen. In that case, follow the next step
#20- Go to Add-ons > Program Add-ons from the home screen and click Racoon City Wizard
#21- Click Builds tab in the upper-left corner of the Wizard interface
#22- You now see the list of the Kodi builds within the Wizard. When I wrote this guide, there were 4 builds each for Kodi 17.6 Krypton and Kodi Leia. However, now the Wizard hosts only 4 builds for Kodi 18 Leia.
Click the Leia build you wish to install. I am going with Pirates K18 build (if this build doesn’t work, try another from the list)
#23- Click Install or Fresh Install on the right part of the same window
I am choosing Fresh Install as I like to install my builds on clean Kodi
#24- Click Yes to confirm you wish to erase the existing data on Kodi and fresh install the build
Note: It seems that due to some coding error, this prompt is not displaying the correct build name. As you can see, I chose Pirates K18 build and the prompt says Supernova. However, it will still install Pirates K18
#25- It will take a few minutes to download and install the build depending upon your network connection speed and the load on the server. Wait while it is completed
#26- To save the changes and to conclude the installation, click OK to force close Kodi
You may now rerun the Kodi app. It will open with the Racoon City build you installed.
Before you start streaming with Kodi Addons or Builds, I would like to warn you that everything you stream on Kodi is visible to your ISP and Government. This means, streaming copyrighted content (free movies, TV shows, live TV, and Sports) might get you into legal trouble.
Thankfully, there is a foolproof way to keep all your streaming activities hidden from your ISP and the Government. All you need is a good VPN for Kodi. A VPN will mask your original IP which is and will help you bypass Online Surveillance, ISP throttling, and content geo-restrictions.
I personally use and recommend ExpressVPN, which is the fastest and most secure VPN. It is compatible with all kinds of streaming apps and devices.
NOTE: We do not encourage the violation of copyright laws. But, what if you end up streaming content from an illegitimate source unintentionally? It is not always easy to tell the difference between a legit and illegal source.
So, before you start streaming on Kodi, here’s how to get VPN protection in 3 simple steps.
Step 1: Get the ExpressVPN subscription HERE. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Meaning, you can use it free for the first 30-days and if you are not satisfied with the performance (which is highly unlikely), you can ask for a full refund.
Step 2: Click HERE to download and install the ExpressVPN app on your streaming device. If you are using a FireStick, I have given the exact steps starting with Step 4 below.
Step 3: Click the Power icon to connect to a VPN server. That’s all. Your connection is now secure with the fastest and best VPN for Kodi.
The following are the steps to install Kodi VPN on your Fire TV devices. If you have other streaming devices, follow Step 1-3 above.
Step 4: Subscribe to ExpressVPN HERE (if not subscribed already).
Step 5: Go to Fire TV Stick home screen. Click Find followed by Search option (see image below).
Step 6: Type Expressvpn in the search bar and select when it shows up.
Step 7: Click Download.
Step 8: Open the ExpressVPN app and Sign in using the email ID and password that you created while buying the ExpressVPN subscription.
Step 9: Click the Power icon to connect to a VPN server. That’s all. Your FireStick is now secured with the fastest VPN.
Overview of Racoon City Kodi Builds
You are free to explore the build you installed from the build menu. For the demonstration purposes, I installed Pirates K18. We will have a quick look at it.
To use the build after installation, you simply need to reopen Kodi. This is the home screen of Kodi with the build
As you can see, the interface has changed dramatically. It is more graphic-oriented than before.
The home menu of this build contains some of the following categories:
– Movies
– TV Shows
– Music
– Live TV
– Sports
– Lil Pirates
– Favorites
Pirates K18 uses the Aeon Nox Silvo skin, which is also the first skin on our list of Best Kodi Skins. It is minimal, neat and customizable build.
The build packs a decent catalog of popular addons. Here are some of its useful video add-ons:
– DeathStar
– Yoda
– SportsDevil
– The Magic Dragon
– YouTube
These addons give you plenty of streaming options to watch Movies, Shows, Live TV, etc.
Verdict
Racoon City Wizard looks like a decent inventory of Kodi builds. The list isn’t big, but it only includes quality builds. I installed Pirates K18 on my computer and FireStick and it worked smoothly on both. The home menu of this build could have been better. Only the highlighted menu item stands out against the background; the others are hard to read. Thankfully, you can customize the skin and change the font color. Besides this, I did not find any other noticeable issues. It is a regular build with some flashy graphics.
