One of the biggest questions surrounding Google’s Chrome OS is the future of its processors. Since Chrome OS is designed purely for web browsing, it’s little surprise that the operating system doesn’t have its own dedicated central processing unit (CPU). That means you’ve got to rely on Chromebooks’ integrated Intel processors like Celeron or Pentium to get things done. The good news is that Chromebooks are very good at their jobs, and Intel has continued to develop better processors for their chipsets.

When a new Chromebook is announced, it’s a safe bet the company will debut a new CPU—the heart of a computer, that is. Sometimes that means upgrading from a dual-core to a quad-core chip, but that’s not always the case. In the case of the new Chromebooks from LG and Acer, it’s a brand-new CPU that will power their devices.

So it’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about Google’s plans to power future Chromebooks with Intel processors. That could be because we haven’t heard much in recent months. But following the recent noise and speculation and the recent Google I/O developer conference in May, we may finally be getting some more solid information about what’s happening with Chromebooks and processors.. Read more about are chromebooks good and let us know what you think.

Google seems to be following Apple’s lead in becoming self-sufficient. According to reports, future generations of the Chromebook may be powered by Google-designed CPUs. It goes without saying that this is a move that was influenced by Apple.

A-Chromebook-CPU-Might-Be-Googles-Next-Big-Thing Google PixelBook Go is a tablet computer from Google.

Chromebook has been a competitor to Apple since its debut, particularly when it comes to educational gadgets since it is less expensive. Furthermore, one of the greatest characteristics of certain chromebooks is that they can also be used as tablets, making them a more portable choice.

These new CPUs are scheduled to be released in 2023. Google also says that beginning with the Pixel 6, it will use its own Tensor SoC for the Pixel series. When it comes to other hardware, such as Chromebooks, the same approach will be used.

Currently, the tech giant is putting more work into developing its own processors, which are expected to compete with Apple’s M1 in the near future. Not only that, but businesses like Facebook and Amazon are developing their own semiconductor chips to power their cloud-based services.

Aside from that, Google’s new processor is based on the ARM chip design, which is a UK-based business whose blueprints are utilized in almost 90% of smartphones. Google sees in-house chip development as a crucial to their competitiveness in one way or another.

They’re also concentrating on boosting the manufacturing of their mobile CPUs for Pixels. So, to be clear, Google will be using its CPU for the first time.

When it comes to handsets, Google has requested suppliers for a 50 percent increase in manufacturing capacity over what they had in 2019. The Tensor SoC was unveiled earlier this year, but the Chromebook processor is still awaited, and enthusiasts can’t wait any more.

Apple demonstrated more than a decade ago that it was quite feasible for a tech firm to forego Intel processors in favor of their own. And now, with Google, we’re seeing the same thing.

The big picture here is to look at the outcomes and money produced by the IT behemoth. To begin with, it is obvious that many companies, not just Google, are attempting to become self-sufficient. Second, if this move is successful, it is conceivable that many of them will follow Google down a similar road.

And by success, we don’t just mean the traditional break-even point that allows a business to earn a profit. We’re talking about making it a standard in the industry. Self-sufficiency is a huge thing, especially for a corporate behemoth like Google, and it comes with a lot of dangers.

These bespoke CPUs, which are expected to be released in 2023, may usher in the next generation of CPUs, in which consumers will no longer have to choose between Intel and AMD.

When it comes to the technological elements, no one knows what the chip’s capabilities are or how much potential it has. However, we know for a fact that the chip is the company’s next big item. If it can match the performance of Apple’s M1, we’re in for a huge showdown of the next technological breakthrough.

Until then, it seems that we will have to wait for Microsoft’s release of Windows 11. Every alternative Windows version has been a disaster for Microsoft; let’s hope Windows 11 finds its place in the world.
